Receipt Width, Label Stickiness

80mm is the width the hospitality trade already knows, because it is the standard thermal receipt roll size. The difference is that this one sticks. Instead of a docket that has to be clipped, spiked or taped, an 80mm linerless label goes straight onto the container, the bag or the shelf edge.

Because it is linerless there is no backing web filling a bin next to the pass, which matters in a food prep area where waste and hygiene are watched. It runs on a 25mm core in linerless-capable desktop and compact printers, and label length is set per job so a short prep label and a long address label come off the same roll.

Commonly used for food and beverage, kitchen and order labelling, retail shelf edge, pharmacy.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run this in my receipt printer?
Not unless that printer is specifically a linerless label printer. The width matches an 80mm receipt roll, which is why the size looks familiar, but receipt printers have no cutter or platen designed for adhesive stock and the glue will foul them quickly. Linerless printers such as the Epson TM-L90II and Bixolon linerless range are built for it.
How many labels does 80m give me?
It depends entirely on the length you set, which is the advantage in a kitchen or prep area where one job needs a small use-by label and the next needs a long address strip. At 50mm you get roughly 1,600 labels from a roll, at 100mm about 800.
Is there a ribbon or ink to buy?
No. Direct thermal needs only the roll. In a food prep environment that is one less consumable to store away from the food, and one less thing for a staff member to fit in a hurry mid-service.
Why choose a linerless label over a printed docket?
Because it sticks. A docket has to be spiked, clipped or taped to whatever it belongs to, and it comes adrift. A linerless label goes straight onto the container, the bag or the shelf edge and stays there. You also stop generating a bin of backing paper beside the pass, which matters where waste and hygiene get audited.
Is the adhesive food safe?
This is a general purpose permanent rubber based adhesive and we do not hold food contact certification for it, so treat it as a label for the outside of packaging rather than something to apply to unwrapped food. If you need certified food contact stock, call 1300 198 684 and we will point you at the right product.
How does this compare with the 100mm wide roll?
Same material, same 25mm core, same 80m length. The only difference is width: 80mm here against 100mm. Pick 80mm for order, prep and shelf labelling where a narrower label is tidier, and 100mm where you are printing full 4 inch despatch labels.

Choose this one for food service, kitchen prep, order assembly and shelf labelling where you want a sticky 80mm label rather than a receipt docket.
