They are direct thermal, so the printer applies heat to the label and no ribbon or ink is needed.
Each roll holds 400 labels on a 25mm (1 inch) core with a permanent adhesive, and the labels are perforated so they tear off cleanly between prints. They run on desktop and industrial direct thermal printers that take a 25mm core and a 100mm print width.
