Wax ribbons are the economical, general-purpose choice for thermal transfer printing on paper labels. The printhead melts the wax ink onto the label to produce clean, scannable black barcodes, addresses and text that resist smudging in normal storage, dispatch and retail conditions.
The 60mm width suits labels up to about 60mm, and the 450m length on a 25mm (1 inch) core gives long print runs with fewer changes on mid-range and industrial printers. Wax is made for coated and uncoated paper labels; for synthetic labels or labels that face heat, chemicals or heavy handling, choose a wax/resin or resin ribbon.
